SHORT SHIFT KIT

PART NUMBERS and APPLICATIONS:

66.02.65: 2006-2006.5 Audi A3 (8P) equipped with both 6-speed transmission and OEM shifter part #1K0 711 051 J

66.02.87: 2002-2006 Audi TT Quattro equipped with 5-speed or 6-speed transmission

66.10.91: 2002-2005 VW Beetle, Golf IV, Jetta IV and R32 equipped with 6-speed transmission

66.10.93: 2005-2006.5 VW GTI MKV, Jetta V and Passat (B6) equipped with both 6-speed transmission and OEM shifter part # 1K0 711 051 J

PART LIST: 1 – GEAR SELECTOR LEVER w/LARGE PIN STUD (.390” / 9.8mm diameter)

TOOLS REQUIRED: 1 – 13mm SOCKET 1 – RATCHET HANDLE

1 – 6” OR LONGER EXTENSION 1 – TORQUE WRENCH

1. Remove clip on end of shifter cable and remove cable that attaches to gear selector lever.

2. Unbolt gear selector lever from selector shaft using a 13mm socket – remove lever.

3. Grease guide rail on NEUSPEED® gear selector lever. Install selector lever by first installing guide rail in white plastic guide.

Then match up splines on selector shaft – note wide alignment spline. Install lock nut and torque to 20 ft./lbs.

4. Grease pin on gear selector lever and re-attach cable. Re-attach retaining clip.

5. Carefully double-check complete installation to be sure nothing interferes with the shift linkage, tightness of all nuts and bolts,

and check that ALL gears engage smoothly and fully BEFORE STARTING ENGINE OR TEST DRIVING!
